Hi. Thanks for strolling by. I'm Amanda: an introvert and writer. I like to talk about faith, hope, and recovery.
I'm also a nurse practitioner, specializing in Integrative Mental Health, board-certified in internal medicine, psychiatry/mental health, and addictions, and practicing at the nationally-renowned Lindner Center of HOPE in Mason, Ohio. I'm pretty proud to work at this place. Earlier this year, I launched the Integrative Mental Health consult service at Lindner. I volunteer as a clinical preceptor and also teach classes in the community on mental health, faith, sensitivity, and anxiety. This year in 2018, I was nominated as a Rising Star Medical Leader by VENUE/Lead Magazine, the first NP to receive such a nomination.
I'm working my way toward a PhD from Saybrook University where I'm studying Integrative Mental Health, Functional Nutrition, Mind-Body Medicine, and Psychophysiology. I’m gearing up to start my dissertation studies on the role of mitochondrial dysfunction in depression. In Summer of 2018, I had the great opportunity to visit Haiti and serve the impoverished in 2 of the local villages of Gonaives.
I’ve been published in MEDSURG Nursing and The Journal for Nurse Practitioners (JNP), as well as The Lookout Magazine, Rivulet Collective, and Talkspace. I’ve been interviewed by Assurex Health, Bipolar Hope Magazine, and Cincinnati Family Magazine.
On a more personal note, I’m married with 2 kids and a dog, Marley. I was a paralegal and wedding photographer in a former life, but I sure do love working in the mental health field. I’d really love to connect with you over on Instagram. Please feel free to reach out via email if you are interested in collaborating in any way!
