On being happy

Professionally, people seek me out for many reasons, but there is one question that is overarching: How can I be happy? 

I certainly don’t have all the answers, but I’m starting to. I’m watching and studying and learning. 

This much I know:

We need human connection and stable relationships. We need people. We need each other. At the same time, we need to set healthy boundaries and communicate clearly. We need to give away. We need to find our purpose and then act on it. We need to become intimate with our identity. We need to dance. Like, a lot. We need nature. We need to verbalize our gratitude. We need a faith. 

We also need cardio, unfortunately. And to not eat a tray of brownies every night. I wouldn’t know what that’s like ;)
